Inistioge is Centrally located it is two hours from Dublin on
the N9 and 30 minutes from both Kilkenny and Waterford cities. Also we are only
two hours also from Cork City. Kilkenny City is a beautiful city for shopping
with several boutiques and the Kilkenny design centre which has all the local
crafts for sale all under the one roof. The centre is located opposite Kilkenny
castle which is open to the public and a tour of the castle is a must.
In Thomastown which is 10 minutes from Inistioge is Mount Juliet Golf Course,
venues this Year (2002) for the world Golf Championship - American Express
Championship which was won by "Tiger Woods". It is due to hold the same
tournament again in 2004. Mount Juliet also held the Irish Open for a number of
years. Within 30 minutes drive there is no less than 12 other golf courses.
